I have been working for quite a while now to record my home video of me playing the sax. It’s been mostly medical setbacks that has stopped me from publishing even a first test video. Technology that has held me back is what software to use and then how to use. I started to use OBS Studio a while for another project that got shelved, but now it’s been dragged out (reinstalled) again.

My personal deadline to have this first YouTube video published is by January 1st, 2024. It will be a simple one of me just playing 3 songs on my alto saxophone as a birthday gift for my Mom. She will be turning 86 and lives in a senior living home by herself. Since she isn’t very techno-literate I will have the help of one of my sisters to share it with her.

Over the next several months as I have recorded more songs, I will create a DVD for her to watch whenever she wishes. One step at a time and I have to survive the holidays first and to see what my medical future holds.

Between November 12th and the 1st of the year life is rough for me physically and mentally. My father Oscar Kraus passed away on November 12th, 2017, after suffering many years with Parkinsons.
