For me personally there is no surprise as to my top stats from Spotify. Top artist is Kansas and at the least the top 5 songs are by Kansas. I am a little surprised thought that “Reason to Be” beat out “Lonely Wind” as my top song as the latter is deeply my favorite song of all time. Did you know that a follower of Kansas calls themself a Wheathead, just like a follower of the Grateful Dead is a Deadhead.

Then it’s Jazz, a genre that I started to learn the far deeper beauty about 5 years ago. Up until then I never really listened to it, but I definitely knew the name John Coltrane associated with it. The one day out of the blue I pulled him on Spotify and was changed forever. 5 years later and I’m exploring the genre and what it makes me feel.

Sometime in the future I take a whole post just to talk about what it takes to be a Wheathead and what makes me one. I’m even proud enough to say that my son (age 22) is one for the most part.
